Road projects are underway in New Caney and Porter. One such project is the widening of Old Houston Road, which will be expanded from two to four lanes. The project is divided into three phases and will include a turn lane and roadside ditches.

Field work has begun for segments 2 and 3 of the Old Houston Road project. Design for these segments started in February and April, respectively. The timeline and cost for segments 2 and 3 are not yet determined.
