Wine and Food Week returns to The Woodlands for its 22nd year with a global theme, new events, and expanded options for its signature Grand Tasting.

Wine and Food Week makes its much-anticipated return to The Woodlands for the 22nd consecutive year, introducing a global theme, fresh events, and enhanced experiences to one of the area's hallmark culinary festivities.
The multi-day event is set to take place from Wednesday until June 6 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, as well as The Club at Carlton Woods. Attendees can look forward to an array of wine tastings, chef showcases, and themed culinary experiences.
Established by Constance and Clifton McDerby of Food and Vine Time Productions, the event aims to honor the expanding culinary landscape of the Houston area while promoting greater accessibility to wine for a wider audience.
This year’s theme, “Going Places,” emphasizes the exploration of international flavors and culinary experiences. “As we mark our 22nd anniversary, Wine and Food Week is embarking on a journey — discovering new flavors, new experiences, and innovative ways to unite people through food and wine,” stated Constance McDerby.
A new kickoff event titled “Going Places Goes Global” is set to commence at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Attendees can look forward to unique international pairings, including Italian wines paired with Texas barbecue, as well as tastings that highlight selections from Paris and Bulgaria. The upcoming event will feature a look-alike contest inspired by the hit Netflix series "Emily in Paris." Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their best interpretations of the show's iconic style.
Among the highlighted events is “Crushing It With Cocktails” scheduled for Thursday evening. This will be followed by the Ladies of the Vine tasting, luncheon, and panel discussion taking place on Friday. Additional highlights feature “Sips, Suds and Savor” on Friday evening, followed by the Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting and Chef Showcase on Saturday.
The Grand Tasting stands as the highlight of the week, featuring chefs vying for the prestigious Chef of Chefs Award along with a $5,000 prize. This year, attendees have the opportunity to reserve private tables for the event.
Tickets for each event are available for purchase individually, with the option to upgrade to VIP status. General admission to the Grand Tasting is priced at $156.94.
Food and Vine Time Productions is set to host a variety of culinary events throughout the year, including the Houston Chronicle Culinary Stars and the Haute Wheels Food Truck Fest. These events are part of the organization's ongoing commitment to celebrating the region's rich food and wine culture.
