The Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable's Office arrested Brian Schultz, who had worked for the district since August 2021.
Officials from the school stated that the arrest was unrelated to them. In a letter to parents, Principal Crystal Poncho assured them that student safety remains the district's top priority. "This person's alleged actions do not reflect the professionalism and care shown by our Snyder Stallion staff, who work hard to give our students a good education," Poncho wrote.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Schultz was still being held. More specific information about the review has not been made public.
As soon as Conroe ISD heard about Schultz's arrest, they started the process of firing him. The school is also in touch with the families of the children in Schultz's class.
People who know something should call the Precinct 3 Constable's Office at 281-364-4211, according to officials.
Poncho said, "We are committed to keeping the school a safe and supportive place for all students."
