Conroe ISD has approved new principals for seven campuses ahead of the next school year, bringing in leaders with diverse educational and military experience.

Following the board of trustees' unanimous approval of principal appointments at its March 17 meeting, the Conroe Independent School District will begin the upcoming academic year with new leadership across seven campuses.
According to district officials, the new principals bring a combination of leadership positions in other districts, long-term experience with Conroe ISD, and, in one instance, military service.
Tracy Summerville, an assistant principal at Hines Elementary, will become the principal of Bradley Elementary as one of the appointments. Summerville has about twenty years of expertise, much of it from Conroe ISD.
At the high school level, Grand Oaks High School associate principal Sarah Dorsey was appointed principal of the school's ninth-grade campus. Dorsey joined the district in 2013 and has worked in education for 21 years.
At Stockton Junior High, Jarret Hostas, the associate principal, will take over as principal. In addition to his educational background, Hostas has leadership expertise from his time in the US Air Force.
Nicholas Kral, the assistant principal of Gordon Reed Elementary, will lead Suchma Elementary. Kral began working at Conroe ISD in 2019.
The principal of Cox Intermediate School will be Trina Majeski, who has worked for Conroe ISD for the last five years after formerly working for New Caney ISD.
With her background in campus leadership, Denise Coello, the principal of BB Rice Elementary, was appointed principal of Travis Intermediate School.
Kelli McWashington, principal of McDonald Junior High in Katy ISD, will become principal of York Junior High at Conroe ISD, completing the appointments.
Every appointment is effective for the forthcoming academic year.
