McKenzie’s Barbecue and Burgers celebrated its 30th anniversary on Oct. 4, marking three decades of serving slow-smoked Texas barbecue and signature burgers to the local community, owner Colin McKenzie confirmed.
The family-owned restaurant, founded in 1994, has become a staple for locals craving authentic Texas barbecue. Its menu features brisket, sausage, pulled pork, cheeseburgers, and ribs, all prepared with a focus on fresh ingredients and traditional smoking techniques.
According to McKenzie, the restaurant’s mission has always been about more than just food—it’s about family and community. “The milestone isn’t just about our restaurant—it’s about the community that has supported us every step of the way,” McKenzie shared with Community Impact.
In addition to its popular dine-in service, McKenzie’s Barbecue and Burgers offers private event rooms, pickup and delivery catering, and full-service catering for occasions such as weddings, corporate events, and reunions. The restaurant’s versatility has helped it remain a local favorite and a go-to choice for gatherings of all sizes.
Known for its “juicy burgers” and “mouthwatering brisket,” McKenzie’s continues to attract both longtime patrons and new guests. Its warm, casual dining space embodies the spirit of Texas hospitality.
For McKenzie, the milestone serves as both a reflection on the past and a promise for the future. “We’re proud to celebrate with a community that has become family, and we look forward to serving up another 30 years of Texas barbecue,” he said.
