The 10-story Tiara on the Beach has reached its topping-out milestone in Galveston, marking the structural completion of the island’s first major condo development in nearly two decades.

After 15 months of progressive concrete construction, which began in December 2024, developers will celebrate the topping-out milestone on March 12. The 320,000-square-foot building is near Diamond Beach at 10525 San Luis Pass Road.
The project offers people who live in Conroe, The Woodlands, and Montgomery a modern beachside option close to Montgomery County's fast-growing cities.
Satya Development is in charge of the project, Ludlow Construction is in charge of building it, and PLACE Designers is in charge of designing it. The design of the building's poured-in-place, post-tensioned concrete structure ensures its strength and durability along the Gulf Coast.
Architect Steven Biegel and developer Sunny Bathija conceived the idea for Tiara in 2020. They wanted to build a modern coastal home based on waterfront constructions in South Florida.
Biegel stated that it took years of planning and engineering to build on one of the island's more complicated oceanfront sites. He shared, "This building is the result of a huge collaborative effort by Satya, IBC Bank, the City of Galveston, and numerous engineering specialists. There were many problems at this site, which made it one of the hardest on the island. We were able to finish it!
The architect said the idea was to create a unique beachfront property while also bringing portions of the waterfront back to life that did not see much development after Hurricane Ike.
Biegel, who has worked on other coastal developments such as Diamond Beach, Ocean Club Resort, and the refurbishment of Emerald by the Sea, said that Tiara is a distinguishing addition to living on the Texas seaside.
“Tiara is the most beautiful place on the Texas coast. We built Diamond Beach, Ocean Club, and the Sapphire on South Padre Island; Whitecap NPI; Lighthouse Point in Corpus; and fixed up the Emerald. "Tiara" was the best name for our project.
Now that the structural framework is complete, construction personnel will begin installing the building envelope, windows, and exterior walls that will surround the tower. This will advance the project into its next phase.
Developers claim that this milestone brings the long-awaited project one step closer to completion. It will give Texans looking for a coastal getaway near Houston a new beachfront home option.
A Tiara sales center is open at 4918 Seawall Blvd., Suite C, Galveston.

Rising commuter demand is prompting The Woodlands Township to add more downtown Houston bus runs and increase Woodlands Express fares by $2 beginning April 1.
