The Woodlands Pride is returning for its 6th annual festival this Saturday at Town Green Park, offering live entertainment, drag performances, and featuring over 100 local vendors celebrating LGBTQ+ inclusion and community unity.

For the sixth time, the Woodlands Pride festival will be held this Saturday at Town Green Park. It promises to be a lively celebration of difference and acceptance. Live music, drag shows, and a display of more than 100 local businesses will be at the event. The events will take place at the park off of Lake Robbins Drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., giving people a full day of fun.
The Woodlands Pride group was started by Jason Rocha in response to the tragic shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Their goal is to make the LGBTQ+ community feel safe and supported. More than 15,000 people have come to the fair since it started in 2018, making it a much-loved event in the area.
This year's event looks like it will be the biggest one yet, with a mix of fun activities and a focus on welcoming everyone. Merchants from the area will be there to sell things and provide services, and performers will take the stage to honor Pride in the middle of The Woodlands. No matter what age, everyone is welcome to join in the fun, unity, and celebration of differences.

Sam Houston State University has begun renovations to The Woodlands Center that will triple the interior space for its School of Nursing, aiming to boost enrollment by nearly 70% by 2026. The $13–$14 million project adds more simulation labs, classrooms, and training facilities to help meet Texas’s ongoing workforce shortage.
