National life strategist Valorie Burton will headline the 2025 Athena Leadership Award Luncheon in Conroe, which will celebrate outstanding women leaders in Montgomery County.

Valorie Burton, a nationally-renowned life strategist and international speaker, has been announced as the keynote speaker for the upcoming Athena Leadership Award Luncheon. The event, organized by the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for July 18, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Margaritaville Lake Resort.
“Valorie Burton has transformed lives by providing women with empowerment, vision, leadership, and hope,” stated Scott Harper, chamber president. “Her contributions to Athena align seamlessly with our audience's interests.” She is a pivotal mentor for a new generation of women eager to succeed and take charge of their futures.
The Athena Leadership Award is an esteemed recognition within an international initiative that celebrates women leaders who exemplify professional excellence, contribute to their communities, and empower other women in reaching their aspirations. Since 2018, the Conroe Chamber has collaborated with Athena International to present this prestigious award annually.
The upcoming luncheon will celebrate local nominees, pay tribute to finalists, and reveal the recipient for 2025 during the event. Notable past recipients of the award include Nicole Robinson Gauthier in 2024, Judge Kathleen Hamilton in 2023, Natalie Saikowski Goertz in 2022, Carol Gooch in 2021, Dana Hoyt in 2020, Marlen Tejeda in 2019, and the inaugural winner Danielle Scheiner in 2018.
This year’s event, featuring Burton's compelling message of purpose and resilience, is set to inspire and uplift a new generation of leaders throughout Montgomery County and beyond.
