Waffle House is still expanding in Texas. It plans to create five new sites in Montgomery County, with construction and openings scheduled from June to December 2027.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation says that each restaurant will be around 1,840 square feet and cost about $300,000 to build.
The first store is set to open in June 2027 near FM 1485 in New Caney. A second location at 906 West Davis Street in Conroe is set to open in July. In September, another restaurant along FM 1314 in Porter is likely to open.
One will open at 1301 Northpark Drive in Kingwood and the other at 14420 Old Highway 59 in Splendora in December 2027.
Waffle House, known for its 24-hour service and diner-style cuisine, has been steadily growing in Texas over the past several years, focusing on fast-growing suburban areas.
Joe Rogers Sr. and Tom Forkner started the business in Georgia in 1955. It now has more than 1,900 locations in 25 states, making it one of the biggest casual dining brands in the country.
