Still, two warming centers are available in Conroe: Under Over Fellowship at 600 S. Frazier and Compassion United at 350 Foster Dr. Another warming center has opened in East Montgomery County.
The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management confirmed the openings. Officials urge residents to take precautions against the freezing temperatures and check on vulnerable neighbors.

Montgomery County commissioners have approved moving forward on a $221 million extension of Old Conroe Road after the city of Conroe transferred the project to the county for $3.2 million.
