The 17th annual “Best of The Woodlands” contest opens Feb. 1, with public voting over three weeks across 16 industries. Only businesses listed in the Woodlands Online Business Directory are eligible to be nominated.

Voting for the 2026 “Best of The Woodlands” contest begins Sunday, Feb. 1, launching the 17th year of a community-wide competition that allows residents to choose top businesses across dozens of categories, according to Woodlands Online.
For three weeks, members of the public registered with Woodlands Online will vote for hundreds of businesses in subcategories spanning 16 industries. Organizers said participation is open only to businesses listed in the Woodlands Online Business Directory, making registration a requirement for any company seeking consideration for a “Best Of” award.
Before voting begins, unlisted business owners must register to become eligible for nomination. Registration with Woodlands Online is free and available through the organization’s website.
Beyond eligibility for the annual contest, directory registration provides access to a range of promotional tools, Woodlands Online said. Registered businesses may enter contests, publish blogs, receive advance notice of sponsorship opportunities, and be featured in special content on the platform.
The organizers designed these benefits to enhance the visibility of small and mid-sized businesses in the community. The “Best of The Woodlands” contest remains one of the site’s most visible annual events, drawing thousands of votes from local residents.
The Woodlands Plumbing & Air presents the 2026 contest. Results will be posted on Feb. 27, when the first-, second-, and third-place winners in each category will be announced. Organizers will also reveal the singular 2026 Best Business of The Woodlands award, given to one business selected from among all category winners.
Voting is limited to registered Woodlands Online users, and businesses must appear in the site’s directory before they can be nominated or selected.
Organizers encouraged business owners to complete registration as soon as possible to avoid missing the nomination window.
Registration is available at woodlandsonline.com.
