Niche has once again bestowed upon the Conroe Independent School District (CISD) the title of Best School District Overall in Montgomery County. This is the third year in a row that the district has been awarded this distinction. This week, Niche, a famous school rating and review platform, published its 2025 rankings, further establishing Center for International Studies and Development (CISD) as a leading performer in the region.
The Montgomery County Independent School District (CISD) was honored as the Most Diverse, the Greatest Place to Teach, and the Best School District for Athletes in Montgomery County, all of which were awarded for the third year in a row. In addition, the district received the greatest overall distinction. As well as placing within the top six percent of school districts across the state and the country, the district was ranked among the top ten in the Houston metropolitan area.
CISD received outstanding marks in various categories, including college readiness, which received an A+, as well as grades of A for academics, teachers, diversity, clubs and activities, athletics, and administration.
In 2024, Forbes recognized the Central Texas Independent School District (CISD), ranking it 37th among America's Best Large Employers, 62nd among America's Best Employers for Women, and 13th among the Best In-State Employers for the state of Texas. This was an additional recognition for the district. In each of these categories, the Central Illinois School District (CISD) has the top ranking.
