Conroe ISD Bus Hit by Truck Near College Park High; No Injuries Reported

On Tuesday evening, a Conroe ISD school bus transporting students was involved in a collision with a pickup truck near College Park High School. The incident triggered an urgent emergency response, with officials reporting no injuries.

According to The Woodlands Fire Department, the incident took place near the intersection of Highway 242 and Achievement Drive. Multiple fire engines and medical teams swiftly responded after receiving reports of a loaded school bus involved in a collision.

Authorities reported that they assessed 21 individuals at the location, none of whom required ambulance transport. Conroe ISD has reported that every student aboard the bus emerged unscathed, and the truck driver also escaped without injury.

Parents were promptly notified, and all students were safely reunited with their families at the location, according to the district.

In a recent update, Conroe ISD informed FOX 26 that a district school bus was involved in an accident this evening near College Park High School after being struck by a truck.  "Emergency personnel swiftly responded upon arrival at the scene," Conroe ISD stated. We are pleased to report that neither the students nor the truck driver sustained any serious injuries. The district expressed gratitude for the prompt actions taken by local law enforcement and first responders, highlighting their role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.”

The Woodlands Fire Department supported the report, stating that medics performed evaluations as a precautionary measure.

The crash occurred at the intersection in front of College Park High School, a busy area during dismissal times. Authorities have yet to provide information regarding the factors that led to the crash.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with both the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Conroe ISD police actively involved.
