Conroe Public Information Officer Andrew Yousse has been taken into custody on three instances and is now facing a third-degree felony charge following allegations that he caused harm to a child earlier this year.
Yousse, 55, was initially taken into custody on March 2 and faces charges related to injury to a child under the age of 14. According to jail records, he was released the following day. Authorities later charged him with violating bond conditions, leading to a second arrest on April 17. On April 24, he was released. On May 6, a third arrest was made after officials claimed that he breached a protective order. Records indicate that he was released the following day, May 7.
The inquiry was initiated following communication from officials at Conroe Independent School District to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, prompted by a child's report of an incident to a school counselor, as detailed in court documents. Detectives have confirmed the presence of bruising on the child's chest and have identified two further alleged incidents involving Yousse.
Michael Aduddell, the attorney representing Yousse, characterized the case as a “personal matter” and confirmed that his client plans to challenge the allegations. “Once all the evidence is presented to the jury, Yousse will be cleared of all charges,” Aduddell stated.
City officials have chosen not to comment on the ongoing case. Since early 2023, Yousse has served as the spokesperson for Conroe.
Yousse is set to make an appearance at 9 a.m. on May 27 in the 221st State District Court, as indicated by court records.

Conroe City Council is expected to revisit two contentious policies — public comment rules and street closure fees — during its May 14 meeting, with proposals aimed at expanding resident input and temporarily rolling back event costs.
