With the election slated for May 3, candidates interested in running for local elected seats in Conroe and Montgomery now have a filing period open. Residents can apply to vie for municipal and school board positions between January 15 and February 14.

One can download applications from the Texas Secretary of State's website. Candidates of interest must register at the Montgomery ISD administrative facility at 20774 Eva Street, Montgomery, or with the city secretary.
