One person was injured Wednesday after a personal watercraft caught fire on Lake Conroe, prompting a multi-agency emergency response and temporary traffic disruptions along State Highway 105. The incident occurred near the McDonald’s along State Highway 105 close to the April Sound area, authorities said.
Emergency crews responded to reports of a fire on the water and were able to extinguish the blaze. Officials said all individuals involved in the incident were accounted for and safely removed from the water.
The injured person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released details بشأن the extent of the injuries.
The fire also caused traffic delays along Highway 105 as emergency responders worked at the scene. The roadway has since reopened.
