The performance of Journey at NRG Stadium was abruptly cut short on Friday night owing to an electrical fire that occurred beneath the stage. The fans inside the stadium were in for a rude awakening. The band had just begun performing their timeless hit "Don't Stop Believin'" when the power suddenly went out.
The lead singer, Arnel Pineda, was left waving at the sound technicians in an attempt to get their assistance. As the crowd became increasingly perplexed, an announcer told the audience that the event could not go on because of worries regarding their safety.
Those attending the concert watched as staff members raced onto the stage with fire extinguishers in an attempt to contain the situation. After some time had passed, the band left the stage, and the audience was removed from the stadium.
The organizers of RodeoHouston issued an official statement expressing their regret for the unanticipated occurrence. They stated that their staff is now evaluating the situation and will provide updates regarding the possibility of rescheduling or refunding tickets.
Nevertheless, the night ended much too soon, with only five songs in the program, which left the audience feeling dissatisfied and unhappy.
Through a post on their Facebook page, Rodeo Houston announced that the event will be canceled due to an "unexpected electrical incident under the stage area."
