Lone Star Family Health Center is nearing the completion of a significant 24,000-square-foot expansion at its Conroe location, designed to improve the community's healthcare access.
A substantial 24,000-square-foot expansion of the Lone Star Family Health Center in Conroe is approaching completion. The expansion, which will improve healthcare services in the community, is anticipated to be completed by the end of the year or the beginning of 2025 and will enable the center to serve an additional 3,000 patients. The center is situated at 605 S. Conroe Medical Drive.
The initiative encompasses the development of a new clinical pod, a dedicated mental health suite, and a larger pharmacy with retail space. According to CEO Karen Harwell, this expansion is indicative of the increasing demand for accessible healthcare in the Greater Conroe region. She declared, "In order to satisfy the requirements of our community, we required this expansion."
The project will also offer employees more adaptable workstations, including areas designed for relaxation and natural light, and enhance patient care. Harwell emphasized the importance of employee well-being, and there are plans to provide private spaces for staff breaks and mother-friendly accommodations.
This expansion, which was funded by a total of $908,600 in grants from organizations including the Texas Department of State Health Services and Houston Methodist Health Innovation, serves as a testament to Lone Star Family Health Center's dedication to the provision of high-quality healthcare.
As it approaches completion, the project is expected to substantially improve healthcare access and services for the Conroe community.
