Lone Star Family Health Center will expand into Magnolia in 2026, backed by a $500,000 grant from the Tomball Regional Health Foundation. The new clinic will offer medical and dental services to serve the area’s underserved and uninsured residents.
Lone Star Family Health Center is set to broaden its medical and dental offerings in the Magnolia area next year, backed by a $500,000 grant from the Tomball Regional Health Foundation.
A federally qualified health center located in Conroe has announced plans to open a new clinic in Magnolia, scheduled for early 2026. This development represents a significant advancement in their ongoing commitment to delivering affordable and accessible healthcare throughout Montgomery County and beyond.
“This new location in Magnolia showcases the organization's continuous dedication to addressing health disparities and enhancing outcomes for the region’s most at-risk populations,” stated Karen Harwell, CEO of Lone Star Family Health Center.
Lone Star Family Health Center, established in 2002, serves as a comprehensive nonprofit health provider, delivering a range of services that include medical, dental, women’s health, and mental health care. Alongside its main office in Conroe, the organization operates clinics in Willis, Spring, Grangerland, and Huntsville.
Marketing and Communications Manager Courtney Galle stated that the organization is in the process of finalizing a lease agreement for the Magnolia site, which is expected to serve approximately 2,900 patients annually once it becomes operational. “The Magnolia area’s population, lacking adequate medical and dental service, is facing significant challenges,” Galle stated. “Our organization is positioned to connect those needs through our offerings.”
The Tomball Regional Health Foundation, dedicated to enhancing health and wellness in the Tomball and Magnolia regions, has granted half a million dollars to support the expansion efforts.
“The Tomball Regional Health Foundation is thrilled to collaborate with Lone Star Family Health Center to provide outstanding medical and dental services to our community in the Magnolia area,” stated Jeffrey Klien, CEO of the foundation.
Just a few months after completing an $11.4 million expansion of its Conroe headquarters at 605 S. Conroe Medical Drive, located next to HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe, Lone Star Family Health Center has received a grant.
The center has completed a significant 24,000-square-foot expansion, which includes more medical exam rooms, a dedicated mental health suite, expanded pharmacy space, and enhanced facilities for staff. During the facility's dedication in August, Harwell highlighted that the expansion would enable the center to “broaden its reach,” a vision that is now evident in the forthcoming Magnolia clinic.
The announcement regarding the final opening date and location for the new site will be made once the lease details are confirmed.
