Staff and officers chased a runaway pig that disrupted classes at two Spring schools on Friday before successfully capturing it. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is now looking for its owner.

School officials reported that a little pig that wandered across two Conroe ISD campuses on Friday in the spring led to an unusual chase before Montgomery County officers ultimately caught the animal.
The principal of Snyder Elementary said that the pig was first seen wandering around the school grounds before moving on to the nearby York Junior High campus. According to officials at Conroe ISD, staff members and campus police tried to catch the animal as it ran through the track and field area.
At one point, workers at York Junior High pulled out a soccer net to catch the fast-moving pig.
The pig was ultimately captured by campus police without causing any harm to it. Soon after, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office's livestock unit took care of the animal.
Deputies stated that they are caring for the pig while they search for its owner and investigate how it entered the school premises. The sheriff's office did not say that the incident caused any damage or safety problems.
Officials asked anyone who knew or owned the pig to contact the livestock section.
