M/I Homes has announced plans for Berryknoll, a 250-home master-planned community in Montgomery set to open in spring 2026 with spacious lots, family amenities, and prices starting near $400,000.

M/I Homes has announced the acquisition of 180 acres along FM 2854 for the development of Berryknoll, a new master-planned community set to emerge in Montgomery.
A news release dated Sept. 3 indicates that Berryknoll is anticipated to introduce 250 homes to the region, with construction scheduled to commence in 2026. The residences will showcase open-concept designs, offering three to six bedrooms, optional three-car garages, and lot dimensions varying from 70 feet wide to a full acre. The starting prices are expected to be approximately $400,000.
The community will feature various recreational and family-friendly amenities, including ponds, walking trails, a covered pavilion with picnic tables, a playground, an open lawn, and pickleball courts.
“In this area, the chance to acquire a new home on a spacious, level acreage homesite within a planned community is uncommon,” stated Jay McManus, Houston division president for M/I Homes, in the release. McManus listed benefits like amenities included and a location close to Lake Creek High School, along with quick access to Lake Conroe, are numerous reasons to think about a new home in Berryknoll.”
The development is ideally situated near Lake Conroe and Lake Creek High School, offering convenience and a suburban lifestyle for families.
Berryknoll is set to open in spring 2026, signifying further residential growth in the Montgomery area as the demand for housing persists.
