Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle confirmed that deputies started receiving numerous 911 calls at approximately 4:20 p.m., indicating reports of gunfire in the vicinity. In a rapid response to gunfire, officers on the scene quickly mobilized, leading to a significant operation that included multiple agencies and the activation of a SWAT team.
“Approximately 20 minutes after the initial call, our officers arrived on the scene and began to hear gunfire, prompting a significant response from law enforcement,” Doolittle stated.
Authorities were alerted to the scene following reports of multiple victims amid an active shooting incident. Officials reported that approximately one hour after SWAT officers arrived on the scene, a 60-year-old man emerged from the residence and surrendered peacefully, with no further incidents occurring.
Authorities have confirmed that two individuals were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Officials noted that no law enforcement officers suffered injuries and that the situation could escalate significantly.
“Two individuals with minor injuries have been transported to the hospital,” Doolittle reported, noting that the scene is now secure.
Authorities are investigating whether the suspect and those involved in the incident may be neighbors. Reports indicate that a disturbance may have taken place prior to the shooting. Gunfire may have erupted both inside and outside the residence, according to evidence. Investigators are currently working to establish the sequence of events surrounding the incident.

Montgomery County District Attorney Mike Hawley commended the collaborative efforts of law enforcement, noting that their swift actions were instrumental in stabilizing the situation.
