H-E-B is expanding in Montgomery with a new 127,186-square-foot store planned near Lake Conroe at Highway 105 and FM 2854. The San Antonio-based grocery chain has owned the 16.75-acre site since 2014 and expects to break ground in August. The store is projected to open in the third quarter of 2025.

From what the Houston Business Journal has reported, Montgomery is going to get its very own H-E-B grocery store, and it is anticipated that it will open its doors in the latter half of the year 2025.
According to the records of the Montgomery Central Appraisal District, the 127,186-square-foot store will be constructed on a 16.75-acre property located at the southeast corner of Highway 105 and FM 2854. This is land that H-E-B LP has owned since 2014.
Aa perMontgomery Mayor Sara Countryman, the project's groundbreaking, which is anticipated to cost thirty million dollars, is scheduled to take place in August. The site's mountainous geography will necessitate the creation of a detention pond and completing leveling work before the vertical construction can begin.
Although numerous questions have been made, H-E-B has not made any public statements regarding the development.

The Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo will run April 9–19 in Conroe, featuring new events, youth-focused programming, and continued efforts to support local students through scholarships and community engagement.
