A small single-engine aircraft crashed near Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport on Wednesday, but all occupants escaped without injury after a rapid response from emergency crews and nearby firefighters.

A small single-engine aircraft was involved in a crash near the southern end of Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport shortly after noon on Wednesday. Fire officials reported a rapid emergency response to the incident.
The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office reported that Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting crews were notified by the airport’s control tower regarding a crash in proximity to the runway. Emergency units from the Conroe Fire Department, along with personnel from the Montgomery County Hospital District, swiftly responded to the incident, with Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) teams arriving on the scene within approximately 90 seconds.
Emergency responders have successfully located the aircraft, which they found upright in a wet, low-lying area approximately 150 yards from the runway.
According to officials, a contingent of wildland firefighters engaged in training at the Texas Interagency Wildfire Academy arrived at the scene before first responders. Firefighters assessed the situation and checked for any injuries.
Authorities confirmed that all individuals on board were able to walk away from the crash. After EMS crews assessed the situation, they successfully reunited the individuals involved with their family and friends.
Authorities confirmed that there were no reported injuries.
Authorities have yet to disclose details regarding the potential causes of the crash. An investigation is anticipated.
