According to unofficial election results released Wednesday, Shelley Sekula-Gibbs, Adam Lamb, and Cindy Heiser likely secured seats on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors.
The Woodlands Township has released initial results indicating strong leads for all three candidates in the at-large races for Positions 5, 6, and 7. The election took place on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, with results compiled from Montgomery and Harris counties.
Sekula-Gibbs, the current holder of Position 5, garnered a total of 9,646 votes, with 8,450 coming from Montgomery County and 1,196 from Harris County.
In the competitive contest for Position 6, Adam Lamb emerged as the frontrunner, amassing a total of 6,364 votes, which comprised 5,645 from Montgomery County and 719 from Harris County. Maria Holmes secured 4,109 total votes, while Allan Bounds and Philip Ikharebhore received 1,754 and 852 votes, respectively, falling behind.
Cindy Heiser stood out as the leading candidate for Position 7, securing a total of 9,780 votes, which included 8,587 from Montgomery County and 1,193 from Harris County.
“The outcomes demonstrate robust engagement from the community and ongoing trust in local leadership,” a township spokesperson stated in a concise announcement on Wednesday. Authorities highlighted that the outcomes are still provisional and will be verified later this month.
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors oversees one of Texas's largest master-planned communities, handling essential services including public safety, parks and recreation, economic development, and community relations. Members of the board are elected by the entire electorate and serve for 2 years.
The official counting of results will take place on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at 4 p.m. at The Woodlands Township Town Hall. Upon certification, the newly elected board members will commence their terms without delay.
The elections for the Township Board take place every year on the Tuesday that comes after the first Monday in November. This year's races highlighted the significant impact of Montgomery County voters, who represented the majority of ballots in every contest.
“Officials expressed gratitude for the active participation demonstrated by our community members,” they stated.
