A pastor and two others face felony charges after Conroe police linked them to a hit-and-run crash that killed a 46-year-old man earlier this month.

Officials have taken three individuals into custody, one of whom is a local pastor, in relation to a fatal hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a 46-year-old pedestrian earlier this month, as reported by Conroe police on Friday.
Authorities have announced that Stephan Santeli Castro, 35, Angelica Flores, 61, and pastor Juan Murillo Wilson, 34, are facing charges related to the crash on November 9 that resulted in the death of Brett Wilborn in the 200 block of North Loop 336 East. Castro faces charges for failing to stop and provide assistance. Flores faces charges for failing to report a felony, while Wilson faces charges of tampering with physical evidence.
Authorities responded to the location at approximately 7 p.m. following notifications of a vehicle-pedestrian collision. Upon their arrival, they discovered Wilborn sprawled on the roadway. Authorities reported that Wilborn was initially hit by a dark-colored SUV that left the area, followed by a second vehicle that stayed at the scene and assisted law enforcement.
Authorities have been diligently searching for the identity of the driver who fled in the SUV for almost a fortnight. On November 21, officers from the Traffic Incident Reconstruction Unit, along with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, found Castro and Flores at a residence on the 600 block of Phylis Court.
Authorities found a 2017 burgundy Chevrolet Suburban in a sealed garage, believed to be the initial vehicle that struck Wilborn. Investigators report that Wilson assisted Castro and Flores in concealing the SUV following the crash. Authorities indicated that the pastor's conduct constituted "tampering with physical evidence."
Authorities have not said where the three were arrested or if they have lawyers.
Officials have indicated that the inquiry is still in progress and that further charges may be brought based on its results.
