A $20 winning ticket from the Extreme Multiplier scratch-off game has been sold at Fuel Maxx #88, situated at 17160 Highway 105 E., Suite 100, in Conroe. The victor has opted to keep their identity confidential, in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Texas Lottery.
According to the Texas Lottery, this marks the second of four $1 million top prizes claimed in the Extreme Multiplier game. Two prestigious awards are still up for grabs.
The game continues to provide four prizes of $100,000 each, alongside 20 prizes of $10,000, in addition to numerous smaller payouts totaling in the hundreds of thousands.
The Extreme Multiplier, commonly referred to as the 500X scratch-off, boasts a staggering total of over $123 million in prizes available across the state. According to the Texas Lottery, the overall odds of winning any prize in the game stand at 1 in 3.75, which includes break-even prizes.
Fuel Maxx #88 could be eligible for a retailer bonus following the sale of the winning ticket. In a move to incentivize sales, the Texas Lottery has introduced a Retailer Bonus Program that rewards stores for selling top-prize tickets with bonus payments. A winning ticket worth $1 million could yield a bonus of as much as $10,000.
The Texas Lottery requires winners of prizes of $1 million or more to claim their winnings through a regional claims center. Winners may receive their prize in a lump sum, subject to federal withholding taxes.
The Texas Lottery generates revenue for public education and veterans’ services in the state. Since its establishment in 1992, the lottery has provided billions of dollars in funding to public schools across Texas.
