Conroe council races decided

Unofficial election results show voters in Conroe chose leaders for three city council seats Saturday, with decisive leads in each race.

In Council Place 3, Kristin Hoisington received 60.34% of the vote, defeating Nick Vonas, who garnered 39.66%. The margin gives Hoisington a clear advantage in the race as results were reported by local election officials.

Council Place 4 featured a three-candidate field, with Ken Blevins leading at 53.28%. John J. Kessler followed with 27.06%, while Jerry L. O’Neal received 19.66%. Blevins’ majority placed him well ahead of his opponents in the multi-candidate contest.

In Council Place 5, John Sellars secured 58.57% of the vote, ahead of Kim Attaya at 31.83% and Kristin Guardino at 9.6%. The results show a strong lead for Sellars in another three-way race.

The results remain unofficial pending final canvassing, but margins in all three races indicate clear voter preferences across the contested seats.

Saturday’s municipal elections drew participation from residents deciding key local leadership roles that shape city governance, including policy decisions, budgeting, and community development priorities.

Election officials are expected to certify the results in the coming days. No immediate statements from the candidates were available late Saturday.
