Houston Symphony and Windborne Music Bring Led Zeppelin’s Power to The Pavilion

Get ready for a one-night-only mix of rock and symphony on Wednesday, July 23, when the Houston Symphony and Windborne Music present The Music of Led Zeppelin at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. With the full power and elegance of a live orchestra, this explosive tribute to one of rock's best bands reimagines their famous sound.

With sweeping strings, strong brass, searing guitars, and pounding drums, classic hits like “Whole Lotta Love,” “Immigrant Song,” and “Stairway to Heaven” will roar through The Pavilion. With Windborne's unique mix of rock and classical music, the evening promises a jaw-dropping musical journey that takes Zeppelin's classic albums to a whole new level.

Brent Havens, a director and arranger known for combining symphonic rock with other styles, is in charge. Randy Jackson, lead singer of the rock band Zebra, is playing with the orchestra. His powerful voice bears a strong resemblance to Robert Plant's, and he possesses a great deal of energy and stage presence. Jackson said, "This is not just a concert; it is an experience." "You will hear Zeppelin the way you know and love it, but with the extra depth and size that can only come from a live orchestra."

As an extra fun touch, one lucky audience member will be asked to join the artists on stage as a guest conductor. This unique opportunity will enhance the already unforgettable evening.

People are welcome to bring their meals (but not drinks) to enjoy during the show. The Pavilion's bag policy states that all picnics must be in their original packaging and follow these rules. The Mini Pavilion Maestros program is also open to families. It is free and offers kids special benefits, including early entry, a badge and lanyard, reserved seating, and more. You can sign up online or at the North Plaza during events.

Stage Lighters members get access to the Woodforest Bank Club, reserved seating, and invitations to special events. This is a great way to help the arts while having a great time.

Don't miss this unique celebration that sheds new light on Led Zeppelin's history. You can find out more about events at www.woodlandscenter.org and by following The Pavilion on Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, and Instagram.
