The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership (EDP) has announced Jevon Gibb as its next Chief Executive Officer, beginning February 1, 2025. A Texas native with a plethora of worldwide expertise, Gibb is set to lead the organization in supporting economic growth, creating jobs, and enhancing community development.
Jevon Gibb provides an established track record in economic development, having previously served as a Senior Consultant at Trailhead Strategies. There, he oversaw initiatives for notable clients, including the US Chamber, and advised regional entities on industrial site development. His former post as Director of Regional Economic Development for Salt Lake County saw significant results, including 15 corporate attraction wins that created over 3,500 jobs and brought $1.5 billion in capital investments.
“Jevon brings a unique combination of strategic vision, collaboration, and measurable success,” stated Whitney Wall, Chair of The Woodlands EDP. “We are excited about his ability to advance our region as a thriving hub for innovation and business.”

Earlier in his career, Gibb served as Director of Research & Economic Development at MetroHartford Alliance, where he managed a regional COVID-19 business response, garnering $10 million in loans and grants for area companies. A former officer in the Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps, Gibb also traveled to Afghanistan, displaying his leadership across multiple areas.
